Skill Chain
From Dragalia Lost Wiki
Skill Chain is a system that changes the user's skills when they are used in quick succession.
Mechanics
Skill Chain is paired with a Skill Reservoir, essentially a gauge that can store multiple skill charges (commonly called "bars").
- When an eligible skill is used, one bar is consumed.
- After a skill has been used, "Skill Chain" will be active, and eligible skills will be altered for a short period of time. Skills that are altered may change their icons slightly, or may have a flashing blue border.
- For example: After
Gala Alex uses
Crisis EdgeLv. 4: Deals 3 hits of 202% shadow damage to the target, and reduces their defense by 5% for 15 seconds. This defense reduction will not stack.
For 3 seconds after activating this skill (including skill animation), it will be possible to trigger a "Skill Chain." Using Crisis Edge during this window will make it deal 3 hits of 202% and 1 hit of 485% shadow damage to enemies directly ahead. Foes with reduced defense take 3 hits of 222.2% and 1 hit of 533.5% shadow damage instead. When chained Crisis Edge does NOT decrease defense.
Furthermore, if the target has a buff or is in break state when using Umbral Erasure, this will also result in a "Skill Chain", altering the effects of Crisis Edge if it is used during the "Skill Chain" window, depending on which condition is met:
1. If the target had a buff: this skill will dispel one buff from them, and deal 3 hits of 202% and 1 hit of 495% shadow damage. Foes with reduced defense take 3 hits of 202% and 1 hit of 544.5% shadow damage instead.
2. If the target was in break state: this skill will deal 3 hits of 245% and 1 hit of 668% shadow damage. Broken enemies will take 3 hits of 367.5% and 1 hit of 1002% shadow damage instead.
If an enemy meets both of the above conditions, condition one will be prioritized. [1129 SP], she can use the chained variant of Crisis Edge if she casts the skill a second time during the Skill Chain window. Therefore, Crisis Edge will have a flashing blue border to indicate this.
- For example: After
- If the Skill Chain period ends without an altered skill being used, the Skill Chain will end and all skills will return to their base state.
- The Skill Chain will also immediately end if the amount of bars in the reservoir drops below 1 at any point.
- Skill Chain can be used multiple times in a row, provided there are enough bars in the reservoir to do so, and provided the amount of bars never dips below 1. Maintaining a long Skill Chain sequence will require filling bars between skill uses, to "keep the chain alive".
