Reflexive Evasion

Icon Ability 1020041.png Icon Buff 2050107.pngReflexive Evasion is a unique buff that can nullify damage taken from certain enemy attacks.

Mechanics

This buff does not stack, and when multiple Reflexive Evasion buffs are applied, only the buff with the most activations remaining will take effect.

Conditions to activate

As long as the user has at least one Reflexive Evasion activation remaining, any damage that meets the following conditions will be nullified:

  • The adventurer is in a state where they could swipe to dodge. (That is, they are not locked in an un-interruptible animation, or otherwise incapacitated.)
  • The attack is one that could be avoided using the invincibility window provided by skills.

If both conditions are NOT met, damage will be taken as normal, and the number of Reflexive Evasion activations remaining will NOT decrease.

If damage is avoided using other means (such as swiping across the screen or using specific force strikes) the Reflexive Evasion buff will NOT activate, and its number of remaining activations will NOT decrease.

Upon successful activation

When damage is nullified with Reflexive Evasion, the text DODGE will appear on the screen, and one activation of the buff will be consumed. The user will not be moved, and their current action will not be interrupted.

  • In the case of Icon EnemyAbility 0017.png Plague, if the user is plaged and Volk hits them, but Reflexive Evasion is triggered, then Volk will still become Plagued despite the adventurer receiving no damage.

Ability effects that trigger off of a "dodge" will count Reflexive Evasion as an alternative dodge. See the Dodge article for more details.

If the user is hit with an attack that can be avoided by flicking the screen or damage immunity provided by skills, the damage will be nullified. This effect will not occur if the user is hit by an attack that cannot be avoided by flicking the screen or with the damage immunity avoided by skills. This effect does not stack and if Uriel's Blessing is granted while already active, the number of times that this damage can be nullified will be reset to 3. [7560 SP] - -
