Creeping Corrosion

From Dragalia Lost Wiki

Icon Buff 2020027.png Creeping Corrosion is a debuff that causes damage every few seconds and reduces the amount the user is healed, lasting for the remainder of the quest. It can be removed if enough healing is received.

Mechanics

Unlike afflictions or Bleeding, Creeping Corrosion can inflict lethal damage. So far this can only be afflicted onto the player by wyrmprint abilities or Rise of the Sinister Dominion quests.

  • The damaging effect deals a percentage of max HP.
  • Every few seconds, the damage the user would take from this debuff will increase. The length of this period is dependent on the source of the debuff.
  • When the user is healed for a certain amount, the accumulation will reset (if it came from the wyrmprint ability) or the effect is removed (if it came from a Rise of the Sinister Dominion enemy).
    • This healing does not have to be done within a single burst - healing from the use of multiple healing skills or Icon Buff 2060001.png HP Regen effects will accumulate towards the amount required to reset or remove the debuff.
  • Corrosion will deal damage to Icon Buff 1020031.png Life Shields, but will not consume regular Icon Buff 1020020.png Shields.

Example 1: Icon Ability 1020006.png Forbidden Corrosion IIIIncreases HP and strength by 15%, but inflicts the user with the Creeping Corrosion debuff. Creeping Corrosion deals 1% Max HP damage every 2.9 seconds and reduces incoming healing by 50%. Every 5 seconds, the damage taken is increased by 1% Max HP. This accumulation will reset when 3000 HP is healed by the user.
(Might: 0)
from the 400236 01.png Her Beloved (Crown's Boon) or 400236 01.png Her Beloved (Sword's Boon) wyrmprint.

  • Healing received by the user is reduced by 50%.
  • Initially the damage taken is 1% Max HP every 2.9 seconds.
  • Every 5 seconds, this damage taken is increased by 1% (= 1.0 x 1%). Therefore, damage is 2% Max HP after 5 seconds, 3% Max HP after 10 seconds, and so on.
  • The damage taken is reset to the initial rate of 1% Max HP when the user is healed for 3000 HP in total. However, due to the 50% healing reduction effect it is effectively 6000 HP from the source.

Example 2: Creeping Corrosion from Corrosive Fog in Lilith's Encroaching Shadow: Master (Solo).

  • Healing received by the user is reduced by 30%.
  • Initially the damage taken is 9% Max HP every 3 seconds.
  • Every 12.2 seconds, this damage taken is increased by 2.7% (=0.3 x 9%). Therefore, damage is 11.7% Max HP after 12.2 seconds have passed, 14.4% Max HP after 24.4 seconds, and so on.
  • Creeping Corrosion is removed when the user is healed for 5000 HP in total. However, due to the 30% healing reduction effect it is effectively 7143 HP from the source.

If the user's HP is above or equal to 30% of max HP, reduces their HP to 20% of max HP and grants them a one-use divergent shield that nullifies damage less than 80% of the user's maximum HP. Divergent shields can stack with ordinary shields. [6000 SP]
